Day 3

No more rain today. Tutoring focuses on vocabulary retention skills by practicing matching up cards with words and their definition. Christian wins the fierce competition with the most matches.

The kids continue reading and are asked to summarize the story. Each of them is able to chime in with a detail or two, almost recounting what they read word by word.

Soccer is going well also; they are learning about ball control and passing skills.
To spice things up the trainers hold a wall ball competition.

Out of 18 campers Macdaleno and Christian are among the top six winners!

To cool down, they receive icy cold popsicles today and off they go on a field trip  to the Sea Life Aquarium in Concord, NC.

They discover Seahorses, a giant Pacific Octopus, Black Reef Sharks, Clownfish and many more creatures of the sea.

What an incredible opportunity for our kids to learn and enjoy Charlotte's cultural abundance!
