Day 2

The second day brings much the same as the first one, but our campers are less nervous truly enjoying  each others company.
Soccer Camp at the Simmons Y - June 2014
The students continue reading the story about Sarah Noble

The soccer trainers teach how to control the soccer ball by using head, leg and chest.

But the spotlight shines especially on two of our campers, Lexi and Leslie. Torrential rain interrupts the planned activities forcing to move inside the gym.  While some campers have mixed reactions about this change of plans, the two girls keep smiling without complaining. Controlling the ball with their head or chest becomes a challenging task for them, but does not stop Lexi and Leslie from keeping a positive attitude.

They demonstrate two of the most important aspects of any team sport by working together and having fun.

Overall, camp continues to be a positive experience for all our youngsters who are most thankful to LAWA for this very special opportunity.
